VapePoint Ireland
VapePoint is an Irish online store and distributor with a large catalogue across many categories and brands. We designed and built a fully custom OpenCart 4 theme across every major page of the store.
01 The challenge
The default OpenCart theme could not handle a catalogue this large in a way that felt modern or easy to use.
- Thirteen top level categories overflowed the desktop menu.
- Shoppers could not filter category pages by price or stock.
- The mobile menu was hard to use with so many categories.
02 Our solution
- Custom header. A rotating announcement bar, desktop header and navigation bar with hover dropdowns.
- Smart menu. When categories do not fit, the menu automatically collapses the extras into a More dropdown, so it never breaks on smaller screens.
- Mobile drawer. An off canvas menu built from the store categories for easy browsing on phones.
- Product filters. Custom price range and stock availability filters on category pages, built into the controller, model and templates.
- Templates and trust. Custom category, product and blog pages, a footer with a trust bar, and structured data for the contact page.
03 The result
VapePoint now has a fast, custom storefront that handles a big catalogue cleanly on desktop and mobile, with filters that help shoppers find the right product quickly.
